LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday approved five development schemes worth over Rs16.75 billion.
In its 85th meeting of the fiscal year 2024-25, Planning and Development Board Chairman Dr Naeem Rauf approved provision of infrastructural, academic and operational facilities to the Punjab University of Technology, Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, at an estimated cost of Rs9.793 billion.
The meeting attended by P&D Board Secretary Rafaqat Ali, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, board members and other senior officers gave its nod to the programme for strategic transformation / revamping of old blocks of ex-DHQs (Rahim Yar Khan, Gujranwala, Sargodha) – DHQ Hospital Gujranwala having an estimated cost of Rs1.1bn.
It approved the Project Readiness Financing for Punjab Provincial Projects – Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Programme having an estimated cost of Rs4.78bn.
It approved a scheme of replacement of old / condemned equipment of PFSA with an estimated cost of Rs1.013bn as well as PC-II Smart City Lahore Phase-I having an estimated cost of Rs70 million.
