PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Mobility Authority on Monday notified increase in fare of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
In a statement, TransPeshawar, the operator of mass transit, said that a Rs10 per cent increase had been made in all stages of BRT fare.
The current minimum fare of Rs20 has thus been increased to Rs30. However, there’s no increase on the express routes, which are operating on a flat fare basis.
This inevitable adjustment has been made in response to the rising cost of fuel.
Authorities said that the fare revision was necessary to ensure the continued provision of uninterrupted, high-quality transport services for passengers.
New fares will be applicable from July 1, 2025.
